Nope, we are not just playing with Balloons and Scarfs! We’re actually learning to speak other languages. It’s important to keep the students mind stimulated as much as possible. Bouncing balloons present the students with a spacial / temporal challenge. They are only allowed to speak at the very moment they hit the balloon. This keeps the brain a lot more active. The intake of oxygen and glucose to the brain increases with over 25%. Juggling scarfs is exactly the same, just 3 times faster – roughly the speed of normal speech.
